Great Minds in STEM is proud to announce the latest class of Artemio G. Navarro Scholarship Recipients from Bishop Mora Salesian High School in Los Angeles. Now in its sixth year, the Artemio G. Navarro Scholarship is proudly awarded to outstanding graduating seniors from Salesian. These scholars intend to pursue a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math)degree at a four-year university. The program is administered by Great Minds in STEM through the generous support of Salesian alum Mr. Artemio E. Navarro (Class of ‘68), who established the scholarship in memory of his father, Artemio G. Navarro. This year, students were selected to receive a $1,875 merit-based scholarship. These students completed the comprehensive application, maintained a competitive GPA throughout their four years in high school, and conducted community service hours for the elderly. Additionally, these scholars attained acceptance to a 4-year university and plan to enroll in a STEM field of study, in the fall of 2023. Meet the 16 members of the Class of 2023 Artemio G. Navarro Scholars, who join the larger family of Great Minds in STEM Scholars.
