Congratulations Alfredo Lopez-Estrada of the Defense Contract Management Agency, recipient of a 2021 STEM Hero Award!
Alfredo Lopez-Estrada is a leader within the DCMA Commercial Item Group, where he continues to show unmatched leadership ability through his significant project contributions. In the past year, Alfredo has been the lead engineer on the Future of Commercial Acquisitions project, and the Acquisition Community Collaboration Initiative, where he exhibited a level of responsibility within DCMA that far exceeds his position.
Outside of the office, Alfredo is an active member in his community by volunteering with the Help Enable Local Pandemic Response (HELPR) organization where he has positively impacted over 800 households by collecting items for families in need as well as organizing blood donations, sewing masks for local music students, and collecting food donations around Maricopa County, Arizona which is about 30% Hispanic.
Alfredo Lopez-Estrada and the other 8 STEM Heroes will be featured at “Commitment to Country,” the professional awards showcase on Wednesday, October 20th, 2021, during week 2 of the GMIS Conference.
