Geraldine McGrath


Geraldine McGrath is an experienced corporate attorney and skilled negotiator who understands business needs, can drive revenues, and has successfully established and managed the legal function for private and public technology companies in startup, turn-around, or wind-down modes. She is considered a trusted business and corporate advisor to senior management and the board of directors. Ms. McGrath has a responsive, collaborative, and decisive management style, having the ability to communicate with a diverse set of employees across all corporate functions.

Ms. McGrath’s expertise includes: domestic and international technology licensing in traditional, SaaS, and SaaP licensing environments, public offerings, private equity placements, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance including SEC/NASDAQ/SOX compliance, outsourcing and domestic and international employment law, international subsidiary establishment and management.

Ms. McGrath applies her broad-based experience to help technology companies master challenges and meet corporate objectives in a cost effective manner. She employs a flexible approach, providing her general counsel services on a full-time, part-time, or project basis to fit a company’s requirements.

As an Arbitrator for the American Arbitration Association, Ms. McGrath is committed to arbitration as an expedient and cost-effective alternative dispute resolution process. She has experience in arbitrating technology related disputes and managing in pro se arbitrations.

Dedicated to education and professional diversity, Ms. McGrath devotes time to San Francisco Law School at Alliant International University as an adjunct professor and serves as a Director to MentorNet. She is a former president of the Board of Directors of the Community School for Creative Education, a Waldorf-inspired charter school serving the diverse needs of the students of Oakland, California.
