Special rates are available for attendees of the Conference. Conference events will take place primarily at the Fort Worth Conference Center with a few exceptions taking place in surrounding hotels. All hotels are within walking distance to the Fort Worth Conference Center.

Molly the Trolley
A trolley that can take you around downtown Fort Worth for free. The trolley’s route is from Fort Worth Convention Center to Sundance Square every day from 10:00am until 10:00pm. The trolley also serves Trinity Metro’s Fort Worth Central Station.

The train connecting Downtown Fort Worth to Dallas. Trains operate Monday through Saturday. No scheduled service on Sunday except for special events such as the State Fair of Texas.

REGISTRATION TRANSFER/CANCELATION POLICY
Transfers (to another attendee) made by Monday, October 21, 2024 11:59pm Eastern Daylight Time (EDT) are permitted and will incur no penalty or fee. However, ALL CANCELATIONS MADE AFTER OCTOBER 4, 2024 will incur a $150.00 cancelation fee for Professionals and $15.00 for Students. No cancelations, refunds, or transfer requests will be honored or processed after Friday, November 1, 2024 11:59pm EDT.
CODE OF CONDUCT
GMiS is dedicated to providing a harassment-free conference experience for everyone, regardless of age, gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, nationality, race or religion. We expect all of our attendees to contribute to a professional and respectful atmosphere. All attendees – students, professionals, educators, executives, speakers, exhibitors, staff, stakeholders, guests and volunteers – are required to comply with the GMiS Code of Conduct. GMiS Staff will enforce this code throughout the event to ensure a safe, inclusive and welcoming environment for everyone. Anyone violating these rules may receive a written warning or be asked to leave the event at the sole discretion of GMiS without a refund of any charge. Appropriate legal action will be taken against violators where applicable. If you are being harassed, notice that someone else is being harassed, or have any other concerns, please contact a GMiS Staff.
PHOTO POLICY
By attending the GMiS Conference, you acknowledge that your image may be captured on video or in photos taken on behalf of GMiS. You further provide GMiS the right to use candid group photos or videos without securing additional permission, provided those images are not accompanied by further personally identifying information. You agree that their photograph or video may be used in GMiS-related communications and promotional materials and may be posted on GMiS’ official social media pages during and after the conference.
COVID-19 POLICY
Attendee assumes all risks and accepts sole responsibility for any injury (including, but not limited to, personal injury, disability, and death), illness, damage, loss, claim, liability, or expense, of any kind, that attendee may experience or incur in connection with attending GMiS Conferece. Attendee hereby releases, covenants not to sue, discharges, and holds harmless the Organization, its officers, directors, trustees, employees, agents, and representatives, of and from any such claims, including all liabilities, claims, actions, damages, costs, or expenses of any kind arising out of or relating thereto.
Attendee acknowledges the highly contagious nature of COVID-19 and its variants and voluntarily assumes the risk of exposure or infection by attending the Event. Exposure or infection may result in personal injury, illness, disability, and/or death to attendee. Attendee understands that the risk of becoming exposed to or infected by COVID-19 and its variants may result from the actions, omissions, or negligence of others who may attend the Event or their families, colleagues, or others with whom they may have contact. Accordingly, attendee understands and agrees that this release includes any claims based on the actions, omissions, or negligence of the Organization, its officers, directors, trustees, employees, agents, and representatives, whether a COVID-19 infection occurs before, during, or after participation in the Event.
In addition to all other rules and regulations relating to the attendee’s attendance at the Event, attendee agrees to comply with all COVID-related procedures that may be implemented by the Organization, including, but not limited to, mask- wearing, the conference vaccine requirement, hand-sanitizing, and social distancing requirements to protect the health and safety of all conference attendees.
GMiS EVENT CANCELATION OR POSTPONEMENT
GMiS reserves the right to modify, postpone/reschedule or cancel events. If there is a conference cancelation, we will reschedule if feasible and registration fees will be applied to the rescheduled event date. If a canceled conference cannot be rescheduled, GMiS will automatically apply any registration fees that have been paid to our next conference. Registrants interested in making other arrangements may email conference@greatmindsinstem.com. Registrants should also cancel or modify their room reservations at any conference hotel. Any travel, lodging, or incidental expenses incurred related to a canceled event cannot be refunded under any circumstances.
